What is your current or most recent position and/or affiliation? Post-doc research at LIENSs (UMR 7266), La Rochelle University, France
What are your research interests, and what is your most recent research output about? I am interested in studying molecular mechanisms of acclimatization and rapid adaptation in marine invertebrates in the context of global changes. My aim is tobridge the gap between individual plasticity and non-genetic population-level adaptation, investigating the role of epigenetic mechanisms and other molecular processes such as mRNA editing. To date, my main study systems have included marine molluscs (bivalves, cephalopods) and octocorals.
How did you become interested in open science, and what prompted you to join SORTEE? My work is mostly based on computational analyses. Thus, I rapidly understood that producing reproducible analyses based on data complying with FAIR principles was about to become a gold-standard. To me, joining SORTEE is a way to stay up to date with the best practices and promote them.
What institutional policy do you believe could improve the reliability of science? Many things to do for that… One, among others, would be to integrate the transparency and accessibility of codes and data related to published articles in the rating of scientific journals, research institutes, etc.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Getting out on the water: sailing, windsurfing, wing foiling… And enjoying my child!
